Apocalyptic Review: The Indwelling (Left Behind #7) by Tim LaHaye, Jerry B. Jenkins

The Indwelling (Left Behind #7)
by Tim LaHaye, Jerry B. Jenkins

Description:
Nicolae Carpathia is dead. But who killed the Antichrist? The answer may surprise you. Book seven in the best-selling Left Behind series marks the beginning of the second half of the seven-year Tribulation period. In dramatic fashion, readers are exposed to the horrors of God's judgment and the hope of salvation. Rayford, Buck, Chloe, and the rest of the Tribulation Force find themselves at the center of heart-stopping action. Number one on the "New York Times" Best Sellers List for four weeks.

My Review:
I continued reading because I wanted to find out who actually took out Carpathia. I wouldn't necessarily call any of the action in this heart-stopping, particularly since it's similar to all the previous books.

I did enjoy how Carpathia's resurrection was handled, very creepy and sinister. Mostly, I loved the parts that featured David Hassid.

On the downside, this one had its moments, but got rather dialog heavy. My son actually stopped reading the series with this one. He couldn't get into it and said it was boring.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but I could totally see what my son was talking about. Christian readers will likely enjoy this story, but even they might find it a bit longwinded in parts. The next one ramps back up.

I borrowed this from a friend.
